Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.”
2 Thessalonians 3:16
On Wednesday, January 10, 2017, Robin's Nest family suffered a great loss, which has impacted us all ever so deeply. Kemar went home to the Lord. Kemar was diagnosed with Sickle Cell when he was very young and on January 1st went into Sickle Cell crisis and was admitted to the hospital in Montego Bay. Over the course of 10 days, Kemar developed Acute Chest Syndrome. Kevin, Janet, the interns and the staff stayed with Kemar. On Wednesday he went into cardiac arrest and passed away at the hospital.
Kemar was 10 years old. Kemar & his sister became part of Robin's Nest family in 2013.
Kemar had a warm personality, he was kindhearted and selfless, he was always there for the other children. He was resilient in so many ways. He was academically excellent, and always helped the other boys with his homework. He treated everyone well.
He loved to eat and raved about the pod mom’s pumpkin soup, rice and peas, dumplings and ripe bananas. Right after eating his meal he would ask his pod mom if he could check the menu for the next meal.
Kemar will always be remembered for his charming ways and sweet smile.
Kemar's favorite scripture:
"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity"
1Timothy 4:12
Kemar was so smart about knowing all of the trees and he especially loved all fruit trees. Our wish is to add fruit trees to Robin's Nest property in memory of Kemar. Funds donated will be used to purchase fruit trees or go toward general operating fund as designated. Thank you!
